The name Solids & Stripes is a shoutout to his family - ‘The Billiards’ - which is a family tradition, where each family member is a specific pool ball (you’ll find them on the can!). Jay S, Distribution
Jay, who has been with us for the past two years and plays a vital role across the brewery—handling everything from production to deliveries. For his Staff Series beer, Jay drew inspiration from one of his all-time favorite films, Jaws.
The artwork features an iconic, unforgettable moment from the movie—the ship sinking beneath the ocean’s surface—setting the tone for a beer that’s calm, classic, and quietly powerful. Jay named it Ya Got City Hands, a nod to the film’s sharp dialogue, and chose to brew a Blue Corn American Lager inspired by the simple, crushable lager famously enjoyed by Quint in the movie (Narragansett Lager).
Tasting Notes: Crisp and refreshing with subtle blue corn sweetness, it finishes clean
